Job Overview

The Moorings Park Institute Incorporated is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Companion. This position involves offering companionship, home management, and supportive services in alignment with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver companionship to clients, providing casual assistance such as grooming, makeup application, and nail care.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including meal preparation, laundry of personal items, mending, changing bed linens, and maintaining cleanliness in the living environment.
  • Offer escort services for clients, including transportation to medical appointments.
  • Report any significant changes in client behavior or unusual incidents to the appropriate health agency.
  • Assist clients with reading, bill payments, appointment scheduling, and transportation arrangements as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Availability to work during emergencies or natural disasters may be required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license from the state of Florida and proof of insurance are necessary.
