Job Overview

The Moorings Park Institute Incorporated is seeking dedicated Companions to provide essential support and companionship to our clients. The role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for individuals through compassionate care and home management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer companionship and casual assistance, including grooming tasks such as hair brushing, makeup application, and nail care.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, which may include meal preparation, laundry, mending clothes, changing bed linens, and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Facilitate transportation for clients, including escorting them to medical appointments.
  • Monitor and report any significant changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate health agency.
  • Engage with clients through reading, assisting with bill payments, scheduling appointments, and arranging transportation as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Availability to work during emergencies or natural disasters may be required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of insurance are necessary.
