In this role, you will be tasked with diagnosing and rectifying issues in heavy trucks promptly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough inspections and diagnostic evaluations to assess vehicle conditions
- Execute preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on heavy trucks
- Conduct test drives to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Adhere to vehicle specifications and maintain accurate records
- Ensure shop equipment remains functional
- Enhance job knowledge through ongoing education and training
- Collaborate within a team in a busy workshop environment
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in heavy truck maintenance
- Ownership of tools up to 1/2" drive
- Proficiency in diagnostics and ability to interpret schematics
- High School diploma along with vocational training or certification
- Strong technical acumen and problem-solving capabilities
- Openness to learning and undergoing training
- Effective communication skills and reliability
- Flexibility to work varied hours
