Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Children's Health (Dallas). As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory therapy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate care to pediatric patients in critical care units
  • Utilize the respiratory care process to provide effective patient care
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform various respiratory care procedures, including ventilation and oxygen therapy
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of pediatric critical care RT experience
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • BLS from American Heart Association required
  • NRP preferred
  • PALS from American Heart Association required
  • RRT recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Texas license required
  • RRT-NPS recognized by the NBRC (preferred for CT OR) 2 Yrs required
  • Initial Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behaviors (PPMAB) training must be completed within 90 days of hire and be renewed annually (Plano and OCH locations only) 90 Days required
