Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide direct and indirect nursing care to a primarily adult/geriatric ESRD patient population. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to assess individual patient needs, determine and implement a plan of care, evaluate and revise the plan according to changing patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD)
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, ancillary services, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: A.D.N. or nursing diploma required
  • Ability to license in the State of Alaska
  • Leadership ability and organizational skills
  • Computer software knowledge
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to understand and implement government standards
