Job Summary:

The Lead Building Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and operation of our facilities and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and efficient. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, awareness, and the ability to work independently as well as within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Building Engineer with work order management and oversight of performed tasks, projects, and work orders completed by the Building Engineers as well as external contractors and vendors.
  • Work order completion as assigned.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections as assigned.
  • Communication with internal customers and external vendors or contractors.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Keep up personal appearance according to company policy.
  • Climbing ladders, lifting, bending, and stooping.
  • Carrying and moving heavy objects.
  • Working in close quarters.
  • Identify and solve issues related to building structure and aesthetics.
  • Drive company vehicle to different sites.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Keep all work areas clean and safe.
  • Maintain and keep tools organized.
  • Required to keep the maintenance shop and all equipment clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of commercial/corporate facility maintenance experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Basic knowledge of the following: Hand Tools, Power Tools, Commercial HVAC systems, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Microsoft Office, Work order management system.

  • We require the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks. Candidates must have the ability to perform the requirements of the job with or without accommodations.
