CNC Installation Specialist

The Robert E. Morris Company is seeking a skilled CNC Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing and testing CNC machine tools and related equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to customer sites to install and test CNC machine tools and related equipment
- Apply machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal resources to ensure optimal installation
- Ensure accurate documentation is completed and submitted to the office and customer regarding issues and machine status
- Test all machine functions and installed options to complete the installation
- Participate in training programs to maintain an in-depth knowledge of machine tool product lines represented by the company
- Proficient verbal and written communication and customer relation skills
- Able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and coworkers
- Presentation of a professional image
- Ability to adapt to changes and deal with delays or work-related issues
- Basic digital literacy and understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to develop electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers, etc.)
- Knowledge of machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair, or a broad shop background
- Basic mechanical and logical solving skills
- Rational decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Experience as a co-op, internship, or full/part-time job in a manufacturing facility
- Experience with industrial equipment repair
- Relevant knowledge of a specialized field, such as machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair, or a broad shop background equivalent to a complete, accredited apprenticeship training
- Two-year technical degree (Electrical/Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical/Automation) and/or one year of experience in a related field
- Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments, which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated or manual machinery
