Job Overview

RER Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Energy Investment Advisor to support the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) in delivering clean energy demonstration projects at scale.

The successful candidate will work closely with the OCED's Markt and Energy Analysis team to develop and validate project finance models, conduct market and energy analysis, and provide strategic analysis and briefing materials for senior Department leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate project finance models to guide the discussion and analysis of energy project investment styles
  • Conduct market and energy analysis to provide future insights into and assess OCED's current portfolio of investments in clean energy projects
  • Work with other DOE offices to catalyze commercial deployment in the wake of DOE-funded demonstration projects
  • Support analysis on the impact of specific program design elements and/or policy and portfolio factors on OCED portfolio strategy and overall portfolio risk

Requirements:

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • Excellent financial modeling skills, especially in project finance
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, project finance or private equity preferred
  • Energy or natural resources experience strongly preferred
  • Strategic thinker with strong capacity to self-direct attention to highest priority dimensions of a multi-faceted problem
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Education: Bachelor's Degree
