Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Interior Construction Cost Estimator. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in estimating costs for interior construction initiatives, with experience in foundational construction viewed as an advantageous asset. Responsibilities will include the preparation of precise cost assessments, management of bidding processes, and close collaboration with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of intricate and high-stakes projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Bid Oversight: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for a diverse array of interior construction projects, including residential high-rises, educational facilities, recreational centers, retail environments, corporate offices, hospitality venues, healthcare establishments, industrial sites, and gaming facilities. Evaluate and scrutinize bid submissions from subcontractors and suppliers to confirm alignment with project specifications and budgetary constraints. Experience in foundational construction estimating will enhance your candidacy.
  • Collaboration & Documentation: Engage closely with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project scopes, identify cost-saving strategies, and ensure estimates align with overall project objectives. Maintain meticulous records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Cost Evaluation & Market Insights: Perform thorough cost evaluations and provide recommendations for value engineering. Stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and market dynamics to deliver competitive and precise estimates that cater to a variety of project types.
  • Client Engagement & Presentation: Participate in client discussions to present and clarify estimates, budgets, and project timelines, ensuring transparent communication and understanding of project financials, while fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Interior Construction Cost Estimator; additional experience in foundational construction is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proficient in cost estimation software.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques specific to both interior and foundational construction.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost assessments and analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently when necessary.
