Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in the Newark, NJ area. As an Associate Civil Engineer at Pennoni, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of public and private site development projects, contributing to all aspects of our projects from conceptual planning to construction documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare site plan development drawings, utilizing land survey data to develop a compliant site plan package.
  • Design and detail site layout, removals, grading, utilities, and stormwater management systems.
  • Assist with mentoring junior-level staff.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in engineering, preferably with land and/or site design projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • FE/EIT certification.
  • Experience working on greenfield and/or brownfield land development projects.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, including CADD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proven ability to prepare site plans for submission to local jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
