We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional Assistant to join our ENCORE Program team at Grand Forks Public School District. The successful candidate will provide support to students and staff, facilitating a well-organized and calm environment for enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities- Work with individual students or groups to support learning and skill development.
- Assist in generating strategies to reinforce skills based on individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
- Alert the Site Coordinator to any problems or special information about students.
- Lead enrichment activities, homework, and centers as assigned by the Site Coordinator.
- Assist with supervision of students during ENCORE activities.
- Support students with daily routines, including clothing, snack preparation, clean-up, and bathroom assistance.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Participate in training and professional development as required.
The successful candidate will be required to sit, walk, and stand frequently, with occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds. The ability to hear and see effectively, as well as communicate clearly and concisely, is essential. The job requires maintaining mental capacity to interact and communicate effectively with others.
Evaluation and BenefitsJob performance will be evaluated by the Director of ENCORE Program. Leave benefits, including sick, holiday, and vacation time, can be viewed in the Classified Personnel Policy Manual.
