Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Superior Industrial Maintenance Co. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, ensuring high-quality welds, and adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core processes in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, including setup, adjustment, and maintenance of machines.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Interpret welding symbols, dimensions, and tolerances on blueprints and drawings.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to prepare and clean workpieces for welding, including grinding, cutting, and beveling.
  • Work in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to troubleshoot and solve welding-related issues.
Requirements
  • OSHA 10 certification or ability to complete OSHA 10 certification within first week of start date (company paid).
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Able to kneel, crouch, bend over, and stand for more than 8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to communicate through both written and verbal communication.
  • 1-2 years experience with welding or in the construction industry.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States and work weekends/holidays.
  • Able to assess safety hazards on job sites & use best judgment in dangerous situations
