UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Lenoir, North Carolina.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform echocardiography procedures, prepare patients for exams, and maintain equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform echocardiography procedures using ultrasound equipment
- Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning patients
- Maintain equipment, including calibrating and troubleshooting
- Monitor and record patient information, including vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field
- Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
