Job Summary:
UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Lenoir, North Carolina. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of patient care, technical, and diagnostic tasks targeted to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound imaging and patient preparation for procedures
- Conduct emergency cardiac care, including CPR
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and properly maintained
- Generate high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures
- Monitor and record patient information and maintain report storage and data systems
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field
- Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- No prior experience required
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, with days off varying based on the needs of the department.
