As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Your responsibilities will include managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and facilitating access to our comprehensive healthcare services.
This is a full-time (hourly) non-exempt position with competitive compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient appointments and treatment schedules.
- Regularly check in with patients to assess and document their progress.
- Provide compassionate and respectful service to all patients and visitors.
- Welcome patients and guests with a friendly demeanor.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications with patients, insurance companies, and external healthcare providers.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
- Process financial transactions and address patient billing inquiries.
- Coordinate scheduling for external procedures with other healthcare entities.
- Support administrative functions and ensure efficient office operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional customer service skills to assist patients and their families.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Experience handling multiple phone lines and scheduling requests.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and billing/insurance processes is a plus.
- Preference for non-smoking and health-conscious candidates.
