Job Title: Unarmed Maritime Security Officer

Job Summary:

Martinez and Company, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Unarmed Maritime Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' interests while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide security services to our clients in the Port of Tampa Bay
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct regular patrols of the port area to identify and mitigate potential security threats
  • Collaborate with local and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest security protocols and procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid Florida Class D license
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Minimum one year of experience in security or supervisory-related positions
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation and a smartphone with internet access
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of maritime security enforcement guidelines
  • CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Prior military or law enforcement experience
