DSJ Global is collaborating with a prominent manufacturer in the plastics and packaging sector, seeking to recruit an Engineering Manager for their injection molding division.

Key Responsibilities of the Engineering Manager:

  • Foster a robust safety culture by prioritizing personal safety and the well-being of team members, including contractors and vendors.
  • Guide and develop the Engineering Team across various domains, offering direction and mentorship to Engineers.
  • Evaluate the cost efficiency and practicality of manufacturing processes; propose and execute enhancements to bolster safety, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee and provide strategic direction for plant renovations and expansions; liaise with external contractors and vendors.
  • Support other departments (production, maintenance, tooling, etc.) and relevant leadership with their programs, initiatives, and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and report on cost savings from implemented projects and efficiency enhancements.
  • Prepare and manage the capital budget.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for team members.
  • Address customer feedback and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Uphold and enforce all organizational safety, environmental, and health regulations.

Qualifications for the Engineering Manager:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years in large-scale manufacturing is required.
  • Familiarity with injection molding machinery is preferred.
  • Previous experience in analyzing production and financial metrics is advantageous.
