About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator Assistant to join our top-producing team at Victorian Finance, LLC. As a key member of our mortgage loan origination team, you will play a critical role in supporting our mortgage loan officers in originating and processing mortgage loans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Package Review: Review all loan package documentation for discrepancies, omissions, and income calculation, and report any discrepancies to the loan originator.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company, and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed.
  • Loan Documentation: Assemble loan documentation as required for verifications and underwriting, including loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork.
  • Administrative Support: Screen and make calls, book appointments, and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Customer Service: Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions to ensure a smooth process and excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Preferred degree in banking or finance, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical Skills: MS Office proficiency required; some CRM, MLS, DU, and proprietary mortgage software preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of professional office environment required, preferably as an administrative or mortgage assistant.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Although not required, having an NMLS license or training is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Comprehension of basic loan financing options, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, commercial loans, etc. Ability to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients.
  • Mortgage Sales Experience: Mortgage sales experience required.
