Loan Officer Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Loan Officer to join our team. As a Loan Officer, you will work closely with homebuyers to guide them through the loan process, from application to settlement.

You will be responsible for prequalifying prospective buyers, reviewing financing options, and assisting with credit-challenged purchasers as needed. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for homebuyers throughout the home buying process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date on all available loan programs and broker offerings to compete with lenders and earn customer business
  • Originate high-quality loan applications and submit them to the processing department with all supporting documentation
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining weekly contact with borrowers, brokers, Mortgage staff, and Homebuilding partners to answer questions and share loan status
  • Develop strong partnerships with the Homebuilding Sales team to support monthly sales goals
  • Educate sales team members on industry changes and new product offerings
  • Meet yearly performance goals while providing excellent service to the builder and homebuyer

The pay range for this position is between $65,000 and $150,000, depending on experience and potential on-target earnings.

Must meet National and State licensing requirements.

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in conventional and government loans
  • Strong knowledge of FNMA, FHA, and State housing loans
  • Strong selling, exemplary customer service, and vocational skills
  • Four-year degree preferred
