We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Mortgage Loan Consultant to join our team at HPW Towne Mortgage. As a Mortgage Loan Consultant, you will be responsible for originating loans, building relationships with customers, and providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaming with a seasoned loan officer to learn the mortgage business and build knowledge
  • Assisting with loan origination, including interviewing, pre-qualification, and pre-approval
  • Marketing and promoting the loan officer's business
  • Completing loan applications, gathering supporting documentation, and reviewing regulatory disclosures
  • Utilizing automated underwriting systems to obtain credit recommendations
  • Communicating with customers and internal stakeholders regarding loan status and progress
  • Managing the pipeline of loans to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Acknowledging and adhering to TowneBank Mortgage policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Has or is willing to complete training program to obtain NMLS/MLO/state license
  • Has a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment typical to mortgage banking
  • Team player, problem solver, and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience in financial services, real estate, lending institutions, credit union, or related fields
  • Customer service and/or sales experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Demands
  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use arms and legs, and sit most of the time
  • Close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
