Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret documents, adhere to instructions, and comprehend operational protocols, rules, and regulations while effectively communicating information verbally or through radio systems.
- Analyze flight, fueling, and payload distribution data to monitor passenger counts, luggage, and fuel levels, ensuring proper weight and balance of the aircraft.
- Relay critical information from pilots, ramp personnel, gate agents, dispatch, crew schedules, and fuelers in a precise, professional, and timely manner.
- Complete necessary documentation, daily logs, and forms related to flight departures/arrivals, compiling statistical reports for each flight and inputting data into the computer system.
- Alert ground crew of incoming flights to facilitate timely preparations for arrivals and manage irregular operations, while being vigilant of hazardous situations and emergency protocols.
- Instruct ramp agents on flight load distribution and prioritize departure flights, preparing dispatch release forms and gathering weather information.
- Coordinate essential services for aircraft, including lavatory servicing, cabin cleaning, and assistance for customers, while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ensure a secure and safe operational environment, adhering to ground security protocols and operational security measures.
- Prepare dispatch release documentation and organize fueling schedules for aircraft.
- Maintain all necessary paperwork for compliance audits.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently, multitask, and perform under pressure as part of a cohesive team.
Qualifications:
- Preferred minimum of one year of experience in aviation; familiarity with Sabre is a plus.
- Experience in Airport Operations, ideally with regional airlines.
- Strategic thinking and motivational skills, demonstrating confidence, patience, and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Effective communication skills to inform, assist, and guide operations clearly and efficiently.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication; fluency in English is required, bilingualism is advantageous; strong skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Personal and Physical Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid state driver’s license.
- Capable of lifting, bending, and carrying items weighing up to 70 lbs, with the ability to stand for extended periods, stoop, climb, and kneel.
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communication and distinguish sounds, such as operating engines.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company grooming and uniform standards.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for additional hours during irregular operations.
- Ability to operate in diverse conditions, including extreme weather and airport environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
