Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and evaluate the credit union's financial operations, including asset liability management (ALM), investment strategies, funding solutions, pricing models, analytical assessments, and financial planning.
  • Regularly assess and report on liquidity, cash flow, interest rate exposure, and other financial indicators to ensure the credit union's long-term stability and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and strategic recommendations as a vital member of the asset liability management committee (ALCO).
  • Lead the budgeting process and reforecasting of financial outcomes to align with the credit union's strategic objectives. This includes coordinating data collection and managing inputs for the budgeting software.
  • Direct the management of the investment portfolio, conducting thorough analyses in collaboration with advisors, and making informed decisions on investment products after discussions with the asset liability committee.
  • Facilitate Pricing Committee meetings, including agenda preparation, reporting coordination, and documentation of outcomes.
  • Supervise cash management functions, including the utilization of wholesale funding to optimize liquidity and cost efficiency within established policy parameters.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, ensuring the department is staffed with qualified personnel, and oversee decisions related to employment, performance evaluations, promotions, and other personnel matters.
  • Coordinate departmental activities with other divisions within the credit union and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of treasury operations.
Qualifications:

Minimum of five years of experience in finance; Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience; advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and databases; strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and propose actionable solutions; sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail; effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
