Job Title: Product Management Specialist III

Fisher Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Management Specialist III to join our Core Lab and Microbiology product category.

This role involves market and opportunity analysis, strategic planning, and implementing commercial strategies for our products. Key success metrics include revenue growth, portfolio profitability, and the successful introduction of new products and suppliers.

The Product Management Specialist III will support and implement strategies to drive the growth of the Healthcare Market Division (HMD). Collaboration with suppliers to align business goals with corporate growth objectives is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own all facets of supplier activities to ensure compliance with company practices and business goals. Perform regular key supplier Business Reviews and cultivate lasting business relationships.
  • Identify mutual goals, implement performance metrics, and collaborate with new/existing suppliers to increase revenue for HMD and the supplier.
  • Work closely with Business Development and Legal to agree upon favorable contract terms and conditions with new suppliers.
  • Develop and coordinate new product launches and marketing promotions, including the development of effective sales tools to be used by commercial sales teams.
  • Maintain cross-functional relationships with internal departments, including Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, Quality Assurance & Regulatory, Legal, Product Administration, and other Thermo Fisher Scientific divisions.
  • Develop programs to cultivate relationships between HMD and supplier commercial sales teams, encouraging alignment in business goals.
  • Analyze and report product performance and apply data-driven decision making to recommend tactical operational actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop performance dashboards (SFDC, PowerBI, Smartsheet) to increase data integrity and automation.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and Learning and Development team to provide training and support to identify/address market and product challenges and/or opportunities.
  • Implement marketing programs and pricing/positioning strategies within the portfolio to drive profitable revenue growth, achieve AOP objectives, and contribute to EBITA.
  • Lead maintenance of existing products.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science or business preferred with 2+ years' experience in product management or sales in medical products, clinical diagnostics, or scientific products.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.
  • Strong business and financial competence with a deep understanding of group purchasing organizations and their impact on clinical decision-making.
  • Industry knowledge of clinical laboratory products and applications, with a preference for familiarity with laboratory diagnostics products in laboratory settings.
  • Understanding of the clinical diagnostics market, including trends and competition.
  • Self-starter with the ability to implement plans with initiative.
  • Understanding of tactical aspects of revenue, market share, and margin targets.
  • Confidence in working with supplier partners independently.
  • Ability to offer sound recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with insight on financial drivers.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a comprehensive focus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with thorough data analysis capabilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and handle long-term initiatives efficiently.
