Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Sales Manager to join our team at Michael Page. This role will involve leading proactive sales prospecting, developing strategic plans to expand our market presence, and showcasing our manufacturing capabilities to potential clients.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage an extensive client database to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand Company market presence and reach within the designated region.
  • Conduct impactful technical demonstrations to showcase the full spectrum of Company's manufacturing capabilities to potential clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, actively listening to their needs and aligning Company's solutions to address their unique manufacturing requirements.
  • Navigate the sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation and successful closure.
  • Collaborate with program management teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, meeting client expectations and fostering long-term partnerships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years within the advanced/complex manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record in business development and sales within the related field.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools to manage and track leads.

Location

The ideal location for this role is upstate New York / Northeast region, with limited travel required to nearby cities such as Syracuse, Ithaca, and Rochester.
