About the Opportunity

Covenant Physician Partners is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team in Huntington Park, CA.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some Saturday availability from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multi-site, multispecialty, state-of-the-art group of providers that has been serving the community for over four decades.

As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our eye care providers by gathering historical medical information, taking measurements, and performing ancillary tests. You will also assist with documentation and patient services, and may have the opportunity to perform diagnostic tests and assist with in-office procedures.

Travel to other De La Pena Eye Clinic sites may be required, although infrequent, throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in customer service, preferably with experience in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start.

Preferred qualifications include experience in ophthalmology, retina technology, or medical assisting, as well as proficiency with EMR systems.
