Job Title: Community Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Paramedic to join our team at AmeriPro EMS LLC. As a Community Paramedic, you will play a vital role in providing emergency medical services to our community.

Job Summary:

The Community Paramedic will provide patient care in both emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring the highest level of care and service to our patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations, adhering to company protocols and medical director-approved standing orders.
  • Respond to calls for service, providing care and treatment to patients as directed.
  • Ensure ambulance and equipment are clean and in proper working condition, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Prepare and complete reports, including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly unit check-offs.
  • Ensure unit and crew members adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards, reporting any deficiencies to the shift supervisor or Director of Operations.
  • Perform other duties as required, including safely lifting, transferring, and maneuvering patients in and out of ambulances, facilities, residences, and other locations.
Requirements:
  • State-specific Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing/current NREMT certification if applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and execute verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Preferred qualifications: previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.
