Overview:

At EMCOR Government Services, we pride ourselves on our multi-craft capabilities, catering to the diverse needs of our clients by supplying skilled personnel across various trades. All field personnel will receive cross-training in multiple disciplines, including millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, and more. This role primarily involves supporting all team members by executing a variety of tasks such as maintaining cleanliness in work areas, unloading supplies, preparing job sites, retrieving tools, and managing debris.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general labor duties, including:
    • Preparing job sites for upcoming tasks.
    • Cleaning and organizing work areas.
    • Assisting with the loading, unloading, and distribution of materials.
    • Supporting installations and setting up tools while performing other basic functions.
  • Adhere to instructions provided by site leaders and/or foremen.
  • Assist skilled workers in their tasks by fulfilling basic requirements.
  • Possess additional skills in various crafts to meet client demands as expected in this position.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction or manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capable of addressing issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, frequently walk, and use hands for various tasks. The employee may occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While executing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, electrical shock risks, and vibrations may occur. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
