Job Title: Refrigeration Installation Manager

Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the profitable execution and delivery of installation services in a specific geography.
  • Oversee and ensure project-level profitability.
  • Coordinate and plan installation projects, including procurement of materials, permits, and supplies.
  • Forecast manpower requirements and report on job status and performance.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders and ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Effectively resolve issues and problems.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping of trucks, parts, and materials inventory and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with customers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Communicate company direction, set expectations, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Provide leadership, build a collaborative team, and reward accomplishments.
  • Interview, select, hire, and oversee onboarding of supervisors, foremen, and installation crews.
  • Manage performance and provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Use metrics to drive accountability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time, and attendance.
  • Ensure use of personal protective equipment and safe behavior, including driving, by all employees.
  • May oversee third-party resources.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school.
  • College degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in refrigeration.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including labor hour estimation, forecasting, and multiple disciplines involved in the area of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in understanding and managing profit and loss.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to solve problems and apply good judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns and forge strong working relationships with customers.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws.
  • Ability to use typical business tools, including email, word processing, Excel, work order/dispatch software, and enterprise resource planning software.
  • Good driving record.
  • 5+ years of people management experience required.
  • Experience in hiring and managing subcontractors preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated experience managing a diverse and multi-discipline workforce.
  • Proficient in coaching, training, developing, and building a team.
  • Proficient in managing time, delegating assignments, and following through to ensure good results.
