The successful candidate will provide critical support to attorneys and trial teams, ensuring the smooth management of cases and the delivery of exceptional results.
This role will be based in our New York office, with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in litigation support, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and communicate case-related dates and information.
- Manage and maintain electronic data document collections, including searching and analyzing data using computer-assisted review technologies.
- Prepare and review documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist with discovery requests and productions, including Bates labeling and organizing document productions.
- Support the preparation of court filings, including drafting, proofing, and editing.
- Knowledge of subpoena preparation and service of process.
- Cite-checking and Bluebooking briefs, memoranda, and other documents.
- Creating tables of authority and tables of contents for court filings.
- Ensure that all events and deadlines are properly calendared.
- Assist with witness preparation, direct examination, and cross-examination binders for depositions and trials.
- Assemble and track deposition, hearing, and trial exhibits.
- Knowledge of Labor & Employment law.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of five years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Kofax PDF.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal rules of procedure.
- Understanding of litigation support systems, including Case Notebook and Relativity.
- Legal research skills and proofreading/editing skills are highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- The flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to meet deadlines.
