Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Vision Examinations: Conduct thorough and accurate vision examinations to assess patients' eye health and provide medical opinions.
  • Perform Exams/Tests: Utilize ophthalmologic equipment to assess claims and provide comprehensive exam results.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to all current organizational, state, and federal regulations pertaining to Optometry job specifications.
  • Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient handling and care during all interactions, ensuring a positive experience for our patients.
  • Complete Documentation: Prepare and submit all required documentation promptly and completely, including DBQs in the required format.
Requirements
  • Active Licensure: Possess active, uninterrupted, unincumbered licensure in Optometry (or Ophthalmology).
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in an associated field with a 4-year Doctor of Optometry degree.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of active experience in performing optometric exams preferred.
  • Technological Skills: Experienced in one or more major Electronic Health Records and solid knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
Additional Requirements
  • Active BLS: Possess active BLS certification.
  • Immunizations: TB Screening (less than one year old), Hep B Titers (less than 1 year old), COVID vaccination and boosters, MMR Titers (less than 1 year old), Varicella Titers (less than 1 year old), TDAP Immunization (less than 10 years old), and Flu Immunization (within current season).
