Job Summary

The Senior Systems Engineer – Hardware is a key member of the Technology Workplace Products Hardware team, responsible for providing architecture, engineering, and delivery support for component hardening, hardware lifecycle, compliance, and product selection. This role requires strong technical leadership, oversight, and governance skills to partner with business, technology leaders, architects, and other engineers across disciplines to engineer systems and deliver solutions that meet current and future requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, test, and implement component hardening standards for endpoints.
  • Architect, design, test, and implement hardware lifecycle solutions and enhancements.
  • Architect, design, test, and implement Windows Operating Systems.
  • Architect, design, test, and implement compliance management solutions and enhancements.
  • Provide technical leadership, oversight, governance, and direction for contractors and managed service providers related to Marriott solution delivery.
  • Document solutions and perform knowledge transfer via designs, build documents, and run guides to external service providers.
  • Translate and define Continental IT, Global Procurement, and Business Partners requests into new features, enhancements, or modifications.
  • Conduct reviews of hardware lifecycle to review effectiveness, potential gaps, and document improvement opportunities.
  • Advocate for any needed policy/engineering enhancements.
  • Provide technical expertise to project teams for successful project and change implementations.
  • Determine customer requirements and work with sourced resources to develop solutions.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of technology products.
  • Institute best practices and ensure proper alignment to projects and major initiatives.
  • Lead analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine the potential impact on existing and planned architectures.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in information technology with technical skills in designing and implementing hardware lifecycle models for Android, iOS, MacOS, and Windows devices, endpoint management software, and endpoint solutions that support CIS/NIST standards. Additional preferred experiences include demonstrated experience providing technical oversight of third-party resources and vendors, hardware product selection globally, component hardening for Windows Desktop OS using CIS Benchmarks, and integrating with PowerBI, ServiceNow, and SIEM technologies.
