About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our Department of Special Education at the University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research, teaching, and mentoring students in the area of emotional and behavioral disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in the area of emotional and behavioral disorders, with a focus on interventions and prevention-oriented approaches.
  • Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Special Education.
  • Develop and implement research projects, including securing external funding and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Contribute to the department's mission and goals, including advancing equity and eliminating disparities in health and education.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in special education, school psychology, psychology, or other closely related field.
  • Record of scholarly leadership, including high-quality research and refereed publications.
  • Demonstrated record of securing extramural research funding.
  • Experience or capacity to teach and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
