Law Enforcement Officer

We are seeking dedicated Law Enforcement Officers to become integral members of our Texas Health community.

Work Schedule: Full-Time: Rotating Shifts

Department Highlights:

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

• Associate Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or a closely related field Preferred

• 2 Years of Experience in Security or Law Enforcement Preferred

• 2 Years of Experience in Healthcare or Education Preferred

• Valid Driver's License Class C and insurable Upon Hire Required

• Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually Required

Peace Officer Certification Required

Key Skills:

• Ability to complete a personal history statement and psychological evaluation. May be subject to additional testing/training. Must adhere to the Peace Officer Weapons Standard and Qualification General Order to ensure safety.

• Capable of effectively managing public interactions in a diplomatic manner.

• Must be able to prepare detailed incident reports and other necessary documentation.

• Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complex issues.

• Must maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Requires proficiency in using computers and electronic devices.

• Must demonstrate high levels of alertness and attention to detail.

• Ability to stand, walk, or move around the workplace continuously.

Responsibilities:

As a Law Enforcement Officer, your duties will include but are not limited to:

Conducting patrols of buildings and grounds to ensure security.

Managing access to secured areas according to established protocols.

Providing escorts for individuals and groups to and from designated areas.

Identifying and addressing unauthorized individuals on the premises.

Enforcing parking regulations and addressing violations.

Maintaining compliance with security policies and procedures.

Responding to incidents and detaining individuals involved in criminal activities.

Documenting incidents and composing narratives for reports.

Providing assistance to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
