Position: Room Attendant/Housekeeper

Position Overview:

The Room Attendant is responsible for the thorough cleaning and preparation of guest rooms and suites, ensuring adherence to our high standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute cleaning duties for assigned rooms/suites in accordance with established standards, which includes making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and organizing furniture.
2. Restock and replenish necessary items in the rooms/suites, such as paper products, soap, and towels.
3. Maintain cleanliness in exterior entry areas and hallways.
4. Organize and restock the housekeeping cart daily.
5. Manage key control for issued keys and those left by guests in rooms/suites.
6. Deliver all lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper's office for proper logging and storage.
7. Promptly inform the Executive Housekeeper of any unusual occurrences in the guest accommodations.
8. Collect laundry and dry-cleaning requests from guests.
9. Address special requests from guests with care.
10. Uphold the confidentiality and security of guest rooms/suites.
11. Keep linen closets and supply areas organized and neat.
12. Report maintenance issues and respond to guest requests and/or complaints.

Additional Duties:

- Comply with all operational rules, procedures, and policies set forth by the hotel, including those outlined in the employee handbook.
- The hotel operates continuously, and departmental schedules must adapt to varying business demands; employees may be required to work shifts outside of their usual preferences.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift, carry, and bend throughout the majority of the shift.
- Competence to work independently.
  • Prior experience in the hotel industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English to assist guests is preferred.
