Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant and be licensed to practice in Texas. With experience in clinical focus preferred, you will work under the direction of a physician to conduct patient evaluations, assess treatment plans, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include conducting complex patient procedures, independent rounding on units, monitoring medication orders, and coordinating patient care plans. You will also perform relevant patient evaluations, screen for co-morbidities, and provide guidance on preventative health care. Additional duties include ordering laboratory tests, interpreting results, maintaining accurate records, and responding to emergency situations.

Requirements

A current Texas Licensure as a Physician Assistant and certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants are required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also necessary, along with proficiency in using medical instruments and equipment. A minimum of a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant is required, with two years of professional experience acceptable based on terminal degree requirements at the time of graduation.
