Production Supervisor Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Supervisor to join our team at Alene Candles LLC & Midwest. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assisting the Manufacturing Supervisor in the development and management of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the management of permanent and temporary employees in the pour and reheat zones, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, continuous improvement, and 5S.
- Develop and implement systems and procedures to streamline and sustain change, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
- Conduct daily attendance checks and report inaccuracies to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Participate in safety meetings and evaluations, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Work with engineering to establish efficiency standards and measures performance to targets.
- Organize and conduct skills assessments and coordinate training to promote learning and address gaps in capabilities.
- Collect data, craft metrics, and monitor trends to report to management on the health and well-being of manufacturing.
- Communicate equipment issues to maintenance and monitor timely completions of repairs and improvements.
- Maintain product quality, identifying defects and providing root cause and corrective actions as required.
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, with a combination of experience and education considered.
- Mathematical skills, including understanding of basic math concepts and ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Computer skills, including solid proficiency in the use of PC's/information systems as a management tool, with a minimum of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work with 5S, poke-yoke implementation, and Kaizen events.
- Action-orientated individual with a strong emphasis on closure and implementation.
