Job Summary

The University of New Mexico - Hospitals seeks a skilled RN Case Reviewer to support the Professional Practice Committee in the management of data and information needed for the performance of Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE). The successful candidate will monitor, validate, and document aggregate data as well as individual case data based upon identified indicators using the designated format.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the PPC Committee Chair and Members in their OPPE and FPPE activities through the monitoring and validation of rate and rule indicators data
  • Develop accurate clinical case summaries, data trending, reports, and analysis for the PPC
  • Ensure communication of reports and data to Clinical Service Chiefs or Quality Committees as determined by the PPC and at the request of the Committee
  • Facilitate individual practitioner review of their data upon their request
  • Oversee and secure the collection of case review data as prescribed by policy for aggregation, analysis, and presentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years directly related experience
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Working Conditions

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
