Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Registrar to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Registrar, you will play a critical role in accurately identifying and pre-registering patients in our hospital information system.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
- Ensure accurate records and timely billing for patients
- Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year Customer Service Experience
- Experience using computerized information systems in a business setting
- Prior insurance related experience desirable
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred
Preferred Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Windows desktop applications
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly
Pay Range
$16.12 - $23.93
