Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Registrar to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Registrar, you will be responsible for accurately identifying and pre-registering patients in our hospital information system, ensuring complete demographic and insurance information for timely billing and accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-register patients in the hospital information system with complete demographic and insurance information.
  • Verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure timely billing and accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 Year Customer Service Experience.
  • Experience using computerized information systems in a business setting.
  • Prior insurance related experience desirable.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong knowledge of basic computer skills and Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation.
  • Ability to discretely handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of insurance plans preferred.
  • Ability to apply experience and knowledge to train and assist lesser experienced registrars.

Pay Range

$16.12 - $23.93
