Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, providing accurate and timely results.
- Work closely with parents and healthcare professionals to educate them on the importance of hearing screening and provide support as needed.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital and company protocols.
- Assist with confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, addressing equipment issues, and training new staff members.
- Perform newborn hearing screens, verify insurance information, document results accurately, and follow protocol for timely submission of billing.
- Adhere to hospital, company, and program policies related to security, identification, infection control, and safety awareness.
- Recognize potential problems and obtain assistance when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- One to three months of related experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
