Responsible for executing a comprehensive range of significant, minor, and routine maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and assessing machinery to identify issues

- Disassembling and reassembling trucks and machinery to access problem areas

- Inspecting components for damage or excessive wear and assessing their reusability

- Repairing, replacing, cleaning, and lubricating parts as required

- Replacing faulty subassemblies and components (e.g., transmissions, clutches, engines, etc.)

- Performing welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks on various equipment and components

- Conducting oil changes, battery checks, and comprehensive lubrication tasks on machinery

- Changing and repairing tires and tubes

- Testing repaired machinery to ensure optimal operating performance

- Carrying out preventive maintenance

- Recommending external repairs when necessary

- Ordering parts and equipment

- Maintaining accurate records and reporting

- Ensuring general cleanliness and safety of the work environment

Qualifications:
- Valid CDL B with air brake endorsement

- 5-7 years of relevant experience

- Proficient knowledge of heavy machinery and mixer trucks

- Understanding of engine mechanics

- Familiarity with hydraulic systems

- Knowledge of braking systems

- Understanding of driveline components including clutches, flywheels, transmissions, and differentials

- Knowledge of steering systems and suspensions

- Familiarity with electrical systems

- Strong mechanical aptitude

- Proficient welding, cutting, and fabrication skills

- Ability to effectively use hand and power tools

- Competence in reading and writing

- Ability to comprehend technical manuals

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

- Proficient use of hands for tool manipulation

- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods

- Willingness to work outdoors

- Ability to crawl under vehicles

- Flexibility to bend, kneel, and stoop

- Capability to climb and work at heights

- Dexterity to handle components in confined spaces

- Good hearing acuity
