Job Overview:

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within the Ground Systems Business Operations team, contributing to Engineering and Technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with the Program Team, Control Account Managers (CAM), subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure that all program specifications and deliverables are successfully achieved.

You will tackle technical challenges, liaise with suppliers, and assist in Program Cost and Schedule evaluations.

Your specific duties will encompass:
Overseeing all financial and scheduling elements of assigned projects
Engaging with the Program Management Team, Engineering Team, other Control Account Managers, Subcontract Management, and clients to synchronize deliverables and program specifications to guarantee that contractual obligations are fulfilled
Facilitating team meetings with the Subcontract Manager, Program Manager, Maintenance Systems Director, and Control Account Managers
Assisting in the resolution of action items
Coordinating and leading weekly schedule status meetings, Earned Value (EV) assessments, and monthly Program Cost and Schedule evaluations
Aiding the Risk Management process by identifying, documenting, and managing contract risks and mitigation strategies
Supporting ad-hoc tasks related to Project Engineering

Basic Qualifications:

Experience managing financial, scheduling, and technical aspects of projects, along with reporting metrics
Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM)
Background in Project Management or Project Engineering
Experience in developing and executing program or project plans
Familiarity with Internal/customer Program Reviews
Proven ability to foster a collaborative working environment across business units and with external clients
Leadership experience in metrics development and tracking

Desired Skills:

Ability to generate metrics-based Basis-Of Estimates (BOEs) and provide proposal support
Experience in Supplier Management and Coordination
Strategic planning skills with the ability to translate strategies into actionable tasks
Demonstrated self-starter with minimal supervision and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Experience coordinating across multiple functions or engineering teams
Leadership experience in Risk and Opportunity Management
Demonstrated ability to develop high-performance teams and lead cultural change
Experience in the creation and process flow of Non-Production Requests (NPRs)
Familiarity with the approval processes for supplier and subcontractor invoices
Agile methodology experience
Familiarity with F-16 or F-35 programs
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
CAM Certification
PMP certification

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Work Arrangement: Part-time remote work is available.

Remote Work:

The selected candidate will have a hybrid work schedule, combining remote work with time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin offers a variety of flexible work schedules to accommodate our employees' needs. Options include standard 40-hour work weeks or condensed schedules that provide additional time off.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days, providing 3 days off each week.
