Position Overview:

We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Carpentry Specialist to become an integral part of our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in custom woodworking and high-end finishing carpentry, demonstrating a passion for superior craftsmanship and a commitment to excellence. This role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation: $66,000-$70,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and performance.

Key Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in construction, particularly in high-end finishing carpentry, with a preference for residential projects. Experience with historic properties is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage a project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines while surpassing client expectations:
    • Effectively communicate and oversee subcontractors, carpenters, and laborers on-site.
    • Manage team members and their work hours efficiently.
    • Lead a diverse group of workers with varying skill sets.
    • Coordinate material orders and manage site budgets.
  • Exceptional framing skills are essential.
  • Strong finishing carpentry skills are required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

Our projects are located within a 20-mile radius of Wilmington, DE, and follow a Monday to Friday work schedule. We provide daily on-site training with opportunities for cross-training in various disciplines, including furniture, cabinetry, masonry, antique reproduction, and metalwork. After 90 days, we offer benefits such as paid vacation, paid holidays, mileage reimbursement, tool repair, and flexible working hours.

A signing bonus of $1000 will be awarded after 90 days, contingent upon satisfactory performance and consistent attendance.
