Job Title: Account Manager - Cruise Industry

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team at Norwegian Cruise Line. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of travel advisors and developing business strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a nationally based network of independent travel advisors to execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Cultivate relationships with travel advisors within assigned territories.
  • Collaborate with National Account Directors to plan and develop strategies.
  • Implement local marketing and promotional programs to achieve sales targets.
  • Oversee and develop business with a high revenue producing portfolio of independent travel advisors.
  • Educate clients on product updates, virtual trainings, and in-person events.
  • Continually source new revenue opportunities to achieve sales goals.
  • Retain and manage individual travel advisor relationships.
  • Develop personalized approaches to maximize advisor understanding of our value proposition.
  • Leverage promotional and marketing budgets to increase awareness within independent contractors' marketplaces.
  • Analyze sales and marketing plans, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Develop plans to remain organized and ensure consistency with touch points throughout development stages.
  • Plan and schedule domestic and international travel to maximize audience size and meet network participation needs.
  • Conduct seminars, lead familiarization cruises, and attend trade and consumer shows as needed.
  • Review sales plans, promotional efforts, and ROI monthly to determine success tracks and make adjustments accordingly.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate level skills with Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build personal credibility through solid product knowledge, services, procedures, consistent follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing sales environment and shift priorities as needed.
  • Analytical skills to translate revenue results and effectively manage budget and forecasting.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze cost of sale results.
  • Planning skills to develop sales strategies for assigned channels or advisor networks.
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Effective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goals.
  • Business acumen to combine product knowledge and understand dynamics of profitability.
  • Business acumen to maintain knowledge of market and competitive trends.
  • Customer-centric skills to foster and maintain business relationships and drive results.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of English to support travel partners and present efficiently and persuasively to large audiences.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally, hold a valid state driver's license, and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs to pack and transport marketing collateral, with reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time for presentations and provide walking tours for clients onboard vessels, with reasonable accommodation.
