Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac Rhythm Interpreter to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our Telemetry Surveillance Unit, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on telemetry and hard wire monitored patients.
  • Document patient activity and report any changes or abnormalities to medical and nursing staff.
  • Analyze and interpret ECG strip waveform displays to identify any life-threatening cardiac events.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely communication of patient information.
  • Perform video monitoring of patients who meet the video monitoring criteria and deliver/install wireless cameras.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of assigned training and education with passing scores on all exams/tests within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work as a cooperative, focused team player and have a positive attitude to work with the patients, nursing staff, and physicians.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask to keep track of a large number of patients.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
