Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Dermatology

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive, continuous, and personalized patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations in an outpatient clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform appropriate history and physical for complex, acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
  • Facilitate staff, patient, and family decision making using evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in research and development projects.
  • Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, and medical students.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Kentucky APRN license with prescriptive authority.
  • Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
  • Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
  • Active Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Three (3) years nursing experience.
  • 1 year work experience as Nurse Practitioner in General Dermatology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional nursing experience in hospital or ambulatory setting.
  • Additional experience as APN in hospital or ambulatory setting.
  • Flexible schedule to work at various clinical sites based on department need.
