This pivotal leadership role is tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive cybersecurity engineering strategies that align with the organization’s unique technological business needs.

As the leader of the Cybersecurity team, you will play a crucial role in guiding our security transformation efforts, assessing security measures, pinpointing areas for enhancement, establishing or managing enterprise security functions effectively, and articulating the vision and strategy across all levels of management.

You will oversee a diverse group of security engineers committed to protecting and creating solutions that utilize advanced technologies to secure Synopsys in accordance with Cybersecurity and business objectives.

  • Oversee a team of Enterprise Security engineers responsible for the development and maintenance of enterprise security protocols.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and professional growth of security personnel.
  • Manage enterprise security tools, ensuring their availability and effectiveness, collaborating with vendors and stakeholders, and continuously improving security coverage and tool operations.
  • Implement security best practices, ensure data protection, and adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and business partners to understand their needs and provide secure cloud solutions.
  • Engage in product requirement and technical design discussions to define requirements, mentor engineers, and identify organizational priorities, technical goals, and design strategies across the Synopsys ecosystem.
  • Deliver foundational and strategic security engineering solutions to extend on-premises capabilities into multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Improve the efficiency and usability of security tools through automation and integration.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a University degree or equivalent certified education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing enterprise security engineering teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in delivering Cloud security solutions engineering in a global enterprise context.
  • Adept at creating project plans for security service and technology implementations, coordinating with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Expertise with Azure, GCP, and AWS cloud platforms and their functionalities.
  • Experience in cloud computing (including application security, infrastructure security, storage security, platform security, and data security).
  • Exhibit strong leadership and team management capabilities with a proven history of leading dedicated engineering teams and building exceptional security engineering groups.
  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, effectively working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA-HITECH, GDPR, ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, FedRamp, StteRamp, IEC 62443.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC are preferred.
