Spencer Ogden is collaborating with a leading utility provider in their quest for a Project Coordinator to support a diverse range of capital and operational renewables initiatives, predominantly focused on solar energy.

The position is based in an office environment, and candidates from outside the local area will be considered, with travel support provided.

This role is structured as a contract with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety and environmental regulations for all team members involved in projects.
  • Oversee or assist in various stages of significant projects, including development, site preparation, permitting processes, scope definition, major contract negotiations, engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Manage all aspects of smaller enhancement projects, from permitting to construction and commissioning.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets and timelines for both major and minor initiatives.
  • Administer the approved financial plans and forecasts to achieve fiscal objectives.
  • Handle contractual and commercial elements with suppliers and contractors.
  • Utilize the PM Tollgate methodology to oversee project phases.
  • Manage all administrative tasks related to project management processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management and relevant technologies.
  • Understanding of power generation and pollution control systems, along with construction and operational practices.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities to drive project success.
  • Proficient in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to monitor and assess project performance against established requirements.
  • Skilled in resolving technical issues and implementing necessary changes.
  • Proficient in building relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and prepare concise reports.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A degree in Engineering, Business, or Construction Management is preferred.
  • Over 7 years of experience in construction, engineering, or management, including at least 3 years in project management roles.
