Michael Page is proud to partner with a leading independent renewable energy producer with an extensive and growing portfolio of assets worldwide. This company develops, acquires, owns, and operates all of their renewable energy projects.

Job Description

The Development Manager (Renewables) will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
  • Managing and executing the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects from greenfield to commercial operation.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team and external consultants to evaluate site layouts and constraints, technology options, schedule implications, interconnection applications, and studies.
  • Directing and conducting due diligence on development-stage projects and portfolio acquisitions, including comparison and prioritization of multiple opportunities based on common siting, permitting, interconnection, power-marketing, and other project metrics.
  • Managing external stakeholders supporting environmental assessment campaigns.
  • Managing external stakeholders supporting property and sales tax abatement efforts.
  • Managing occasional permitting activities with support from other team members.
  • Preparing project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses.

The Successful Applicant

The Development Manager (Renewables) will have:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in the renewable energy industry with full life-cycle development.
  • Direct experience in utility-scale solar, storage, or wind projects.
  • Experience with land development, including landowner engagement, negotiation, contracting, title resolution, and agricultural land use/water restrictions.
  • Knowledge of governmental mandates, environmental regulations, or customer/market signals that impact or facilitate new development of renewable projects.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

$100,000 - $120,000 base salary
