Position Summary:
The After School Enrichment Program Facilitator plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of children aged 3-11 years by delivering engaging academic, fitness, arts/music, and STEM activities within the UCP After School Enrichment Program.
- Prepare and organize daily materials for lessons and activities, implement UCP After School lesson plans, and manage the daily schedule for a group of students.
- Oversee and interact with students, providing support during large group, small group, and individual instruction.
- Apply effective classroom management techniques to maintain the attention, safety, and well-being of all participants, including enforcing the Discipline Policy as necessary.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes collaborative thinking, curiosity, and exploration.
- Ensure accurate student attendance through sign-in and sign-out procedures.
- Communicate any concerns from parents to the Site Coordinator.
- Perform essential caregiving tasks while adhering to universal health and safety protocols, including changing diapers, feeding, and maintaining hygiene for children.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Education and Training:
- Preferred: Associate Degree or college credits; Minimum: High School Diploma/GED.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- DCF - 45 Hours (if working with PreK).
- Proficient in classroom management and organizational skills.
- Experience working with children with and without disabilities in educational or recreational environments.
- Familiarity with arts/music and STEM programming.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
